A print ERP runs the whole print business — estimating, production, inventory, dispatch, invoicing and reporting — in one system, with the sheet, plate and run-length math that printing actually requires. A general manufacturing ERP handles the accounting and inventory side but cannot estimate a print job, which is why shops that buy one keep estimating in spreadsheets.
